Chinese Pottery Appraisal? – Inquiry Solved

Hi Irv, I’ve inherited a peculiar vase that my great uncle brought back from China about 100 years ago. It has no particular beauty, but it is interesting. It features a raised, crackled glaze with a proliferation of large and small nodules (fruits?), along with vines and small creatures that might be beavers near the top. The vase is approximately 10.5 inches tall, with a maximum width of about 8.5 inches. The walls are thick, and the piece weighs about 5 pounds. There is no seal or other artist’s mark. I have a photograph of the vase on his mantelpiece in Changsha, where he ran a bank around 1920.
