I have this sword that needs to be appraised and valued. It is in the style of the Zhou to Han Dynasty, I think. I bought the sword at a flea market from someone clearing out a deceased estate. The gentleman who sold it said the original owner was a collector of Chinese antiques. The item seems to be in excellent condition despite its possible old age. The workmanship looks to be fair to good. The lines are straight and the parts almost line up perfectly if indeed made with BCE tools. The beast face relief guard isn’t as deeply engraved as I’d like, so I’m not as confident there. There are long lines of gold-gilded texts that I cannot understand. Can you possibly appraise it for me?
